E-TOOLS UPDATES | NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2020

Dear e-Tools Client,

Welcome to the Spring edition of e-Tools Updates. We're thrilled to share some new developments that will help you meet your increasing provider responsibilities and client expectations.

Exciting Development - Consumer Mobile App for Your Clients

We are very close to releasing eConsumer, a mobile app for your clients in Home Care, Home Support and NDIS.

Your clients will have access to service appointments via a mobile phone or tablet. For added security, clients can identify who will deliver the services.

eConsumer uses service data from your e-Tools community care and HR apps to provide this up-to-the-minute information.

Clients will also be able to rate and provide feedback on services delivered, which will help you monitor your service quality and make adjustments if necessary.

We have plans for many more features to be added down the track. Contact us to learn more now and keep an eye out for our latest addition in the coming weeks!

Visitor App for Monitoring Visitors and Contact Tracing

The e-Tools Visitor App is currently under development to help you with tracking visitors to your facility, including service contractors and family members.

Organisations must be responsible for screening visitors, especially if there is a COVID-19 outbreak and contact tracing is required. The Visitor App will allow you to:
  • Collect relevant contact details
  • Check key info such as vaccination status and Police Checks
  • Store and retrieve data on repeat visit
  • Receive alerts if a visitor does not meet pre-set requirements
  • Photo capture capability
  • Print ID option
The Visitor App is designed to work on its own, but will connect to our electronic Supplier Agreement (eSA) or electronic Maintenance Register (eMR) applications to enhance the benefits for providers, including the ability to:
  • Track supplier agreements and insurance renewals
  • Link to your maintenance register
Register your interest for updates on the Visitor App, due for release by the end of the year.

Welcome Barbara Rawlinson to the e-Tools Team

Barbara Rawlinson recently joined the e-Tools team as a Specialist Trainer. Barbara has countless years of experience as an Instructional Designer and Trainer, working with various organisations such as the Department of Justice and University of Melbourne.

Barbara shares with us: "Animals have always been a big part of my life and I've had all manner of pets. I worked as a veterinary nurse for a few years but now my focus is on creating learning materials for workplaces. Because I enjoy learning new things, I try to make it easy for others to learn new work skills."

We welcome Barbara as a valuable member to the e-Tools team, and she is well on her way to supporting many of you with your staff training in the near future.

Managing HR Records and COVID-19

Storing and tracking staff records such as qualifications and inoculations is essential in aged and community care, but its importance has escalated in the current pandemic, particularly in residential aged care.

Key features in our eHRM (electronic HR Management) application that ensure you respond to current and future requirements include:
  • Custom field in eHRM that allows you to store staff related COVID-19 requirements or information.
  • The ability to track staff flu and other inoculation records.
Contact us for a demo or details on this essential application for residential and community care providers.

Manage Client Service Delivery Successfully in Community Care

The e-Tools Workforce Mobile Solution will facilitate your ability to manage your client service delivery successfully across Home Care, Home Support and NDIS.

Use it as a tool to meet increasing accountability requirements and to exceed service delivery quality and be the best in class.

Newly introduced is the Early ID feature utilising the AWACCS instrument, which enables your staff to record changes in the health and wellbeing of clients, and effectively report this to managers. This is particularly important in the current environment, as it can help identify if early intervention is required.

LASA Fusion Article: COVID-19 Risks Provider Viability and Ongoing Performance

"COVID-19 has been like a tsunami across our lives, our businesses and our thinking. In my lifetime, which now spans 69 years, I have never seen a single event that suddenly appeared, wreaked havoc and continued to do so over considerable time. We seem to have entered the Twilight Zone. Under the inevitable post COVID-19 changes in protocols, systems, accountability and interventions, where will this new regime leave the provider’s ability to meet performance standards while remaining viable?"

The above is an excerpt of e-Tools' article published in the LASA Fusion Winter 2020 publication, contributed by David Powis, Managing Director. Click here to read the full article.
